Release, deploy, and environments
Automate the Thursday release steps, and prove the rollback works on a preview first.
Someone does these steps by hand every Thursday, remembers some of them, cannot hand the job to anyone else, and is away next week.
Automating them is half the job. The other half is proving the rollback works on a preview, and making staging match production.
